Virtual 1-on-1 and small group tutoring with Ms. Brenda — covering middle school math through Calculus II, plus physics on request. Built on a Socratic approach: you'll learn how to find the answer, not just what it is.
// Sessions are 45 minutes (30 min minimum on request) · Group rate 15% off per student for 2–4 friends · Virtual via FaceTime, Zoom, or Google Meet
Each Study Hall is a 60-minute group session on a specific topic — usually prepping students for the math they'll see in the grade or class they're about to enter. Same Socratic teaching style as 1-on-1, just shared with up to 9 other students working on the same thing.
Reserve a seat and you'll get the Zoom or Google Meet link emailed 24 hours before the session.
I am an engineering grad who never stopped loving math. Tutoring started as a way to keep my brain sharp during summers, and somewhere along the way it became the thing I look forward to most.
My approach is Socratic — I don't lecture. I ask questions until the student finds the path themselves. "What do we know?" "What formula applies here?" "Where did this step come from?" Real understanding sticks; memorization fades by the next test.
Every session is custom-built. I review your student's actual worksheets and class notes ahead of time, then bring targeted practice that matches their teacher's vocabulary, examples, and problem style. No generic worksheets pulled from a textbook.
Sessions are virtual — FaceTime, Zoom, or Google Meet — with problems worked live on a shared digital whiteboard. Parents get a quick recap after each session.
